Cyprus and Greece’s Presidents discuss in Athens Turkey’s provocative actions

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Greece’s President Katerina Sakellaropoulou who had their first meeting on Tuesday, in Athens, after the latter’s appointment, noted in their statements Turkey’s provocations against Cyprus and Greece and the close ties between the two countries.

Speaking during their meeting, at the Presidential Palace, Sakellaropoulou welcomed President Anastasiades and said that she is looking forward to her visit in Cyprus which has been delayed due to the pandemic, expressing hope that it will take place in September, a Press and Information Office (PIO) announcement says.

“I would like to hear from you on the course of the Cyprus issue, which is a top national matter of the Greek foreign policy,” she said.
