Cyprus Meteorology Department issues yellow warning for Monday
The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for extreme high temperature on Monday.
The warning is valid from 1300 local time Monday until 1700. The maximum temperature is expected to rise to around 41 degrees celsius inland and to around 33 degrees over Troodos` highest peaks.
Citizens are advised to be aware that high temperatures are expected. Some health risks amongst vulnerable people e.g. the elderly and very young are possible.
