EU collective action against Turkey's unacceptable behaviour necessary, Government Spokesperson says

Government Spokesperson Kyriacos Koushos, said on Sunday that the response to Turkey`s unacceptable and extremely dangerous provocative behaviour that threatens stability and peace in the wider Eastern Mediterranean region, could only be a united Europe acting collectively and in a coordinated manner.
 
In his speech during a memorial service in honour of those who fell during the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus, Kousios said that "today we are facing the pressure but also the threats of Turkish expansionism as well as the policy of faits accomplis ".

According to a presidency press release, Koushos said that Turkey systematically has a belligerent behaviour, exercising complete control over the occupied areas of Cyprus with the demographic change, the threats for the settlement of the fenced off part of the city of Famagusta and the continuous blackmails in
