Cyprus is doing everything possible to address any emergency, Defence Minister says

The Republic of Cyprus, taking into consideration its obligations towards international law, is making every possible effort to address any emergency, including terrorist actions, Minister of Defence Charalambos Petrides said on Wednesday.
 
Addressing the Multinational Exercise NEMESIS 2020, taking place for the seventh consecutive year, Petrides said that “the Republic of Cyprus, with a high sense of responsibility regarding the international community and having in mind our obligations towards the International Laws, is making every effort for the constant upgrading of our procedures dealing with emergency situations such as antiterrorism operations, Search and Rescue, and pollution of marine environment, within our Exclusive Economic Zone.”
 
He added that “the success of NEMESIS, a multinational and multiagency exercise, is based primarily on the level of
