Cyprus National Council discusses Turkish announcement for reopening the beach area of occupied Famagusta

Cyprus National Council that convenes on Tuesday under Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades is expected to discuss Turkish announcement made earlier today with regard to the fenced off city of Famagusta, occupied since the Turkish invasion of Cyprus 1974.
 
Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and “prime minister” of the Turkish Cypriot puppet regime Ersin Tatar announced earlier today in Ankara the reopening of the beach area of the abandoned town of Famagusta an issue on which the discussion at the National Council is expected to focus.
 
Cyprus President is also expected to inform the members of the Council about the recent decisions of the European Council with regard to Turkey, in view of its illegal activities in the Eastern Mediterranean, and about developments in the Cyprus problem and the prospects for the resumption of the negotiations for a settle
