Turkey becomes more and more aggressive and unpredictable, Minister of Defence says
Turkey`s actions in the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Republic of Cyprus and the recent opening of part of the coastal front of Varosha, prove that Turkey is becoming more and more aggressive and unpredictable, Minister of Defence Charalambos Petrides, said on Thursday.
The Minister was speaking at the Kalo Chorio shooting range where the final phase of the National Guard`s three-day military exercise with troops, named “Flaming Arrow 2020”, took place.
He stressed that the primary goal of the Ministry of Defence is the continuous upgrade of the operational capacity of the National Guard and added that they are following a structured armament program, so that the National Guard evolves into a modern and flexible deterrent force for the security of the country.
