Willingness in principle for dialogue with Turkey, German Foreign Ministry says, after Maas visit to Cyprus and Greece
German Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Christopher Burger, said on Wednesday that from the talks that the German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas held this week in Cyprus and Greece, it became clear that there is still in principle a willingness in Nicosia and Athens for dialogue with Ankara.
Burger was referring to Maas` visit to Cyprus and Greece on Tuesday, where he held separate meetings with his Cypriot and Greek counterparts and was received by the Cypriot President and the Greek Prime Minister. The focus of the talks was the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.
