Cyprus police report 87 pedestrians and drivers for restrictive measures violations
Cyprus police reported 87 pedestrians and drivers for violating restrictive measures in place to contain the COVID-19 outbreak out of 3,397 spot-checks from Friday evening until early in the morning on Saturday across the island.
Out of 495 spot checks conducted in various premises across the island two violations were reported, the police press office has told CNA.
Breaking down the spot-checks on pedestrians and vehicle drivers across the island, in Nicosia out of 1,156 spot-checks 7 violations were reported, in Limassol out of 940 spot-checks 36 violations were reported, in Larnaka out of 414 spot-checks 24 violations were reported, in Pafos out of 251 spot-checks 3 violations were reported, in Famagusta out of 261 spot-checks 13 violations were reported and in Morphou no violations were reported after 79 spot-checks.
