Defence Minister discusses Turkish violations with foreign counterparts during teleconferences
Turkish violations in the Republic of Cyprus territorial waters, after the recent dispatch of Turkish drillship “Yavuz” in Cyprus’ EEZ, and the rescheduling of multinational military exercises that have been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic were the focus of teleconferences which Cyprus Defence Minister, Savvas Angelides held with his counterparts from other countries.
Angelides told the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) that he had on Tuesday a teleconference with his Egyptian counterpart while he will also have teleconferences with the Defence Ministers of France and Italy. He will also request to talk, through a teleconference, with the Defence Minister of Israel after the new government at the neighbouring country is sworn in.
