Cyprus Deputy Tourism Ministry to subsidise projects for upgrading beaches

Cyprus` Deputy Tourism Ministry promotes a subsidy scheme to encourage projects for upgrading beaches in Cyprus, in the framework of the implementation of the 2030 National Strategy for Tourism and the Deputy Ministry`s long-standing goals to upgrade the tourist product.

A press release issued by the Deputy Tourism Ministry said that the aim of the scheme is to provide financial support to municipalities and communities to implement projects and buy equipment with a view to aesthetically upgrade the beaches of Cyprus. 

The scheme will be implemented from October 2020 to November 2022 to beaches in the government-controlled areas of Famagusta and more specifically in Paralimni, Ayia Napa and Sotira.
